Tonight is Stupid Movie Night, the irregularly-held evening where we gather together to appreciate the finer points of ridiculous, cheesy, badly produced, overblown, or, yes, stupid movies. As the movie night begins in less than an hour, there is not time to write the full story today. I will say that tonight we are taking a bit of a departure (we have periodic recovery nights after the most agonizing experiences) and watching Rambo 3, which, although the whole 1980's-American-action-hero-versus-an-entire-army thing is pretty stupid on principle, is supposed to be a pretty good example of the genre.
For stupid movie connoisseurs, today brought TREMENDOUS news! The DVD release of Gymkata is scheduled for January 30th!!! This epic event may require a second watching in celebration.

I am so happy to hear about Gymkata. That is the best news I've heard since 10 minutes ago when nothing happened.
Also, did you realize that in Rambo 3 Rambo is helping the dudes that become the Taliban? It would be awesome if Rambo 4 was about Rambo helping the Iraqis get the weapons necessary to fight the Iranians.
